- Construction Materials: High quality woods & metals
- Mechanisms: High quality drawer/door mechanical function.
What Our Ratings Mean

Superior Quality
You can be assured that products that boast this level of quality are made with the highest level of construction materials, including the best woods, finishes, and mechanisms and they are constructed to top standards. Products rated with this rating are usually priced in a higher range. Usually includes only solid wood or solid metal construction.
Very Good Quality
Still extremely well made, these products are very similar to the Superior Quality standard. Made with very good materials, including woods, finishes and hardware they offer a better value for the dollar. This may include solid wood or the use of some wood veneers (one or more very thin sheets of wood that literally are sliced from a log and used to cover other materials (commonly plywood) to create the illusion of "solid" wood).

Good Quality
Sturdy and well made, these products offer the furniture buyer a much better value than higher rated furniture. To the visible eye, you don’t see much difference; construction is good, finishes are beautiful and hardware is well made, however what makes this quality rating such a good value choice is that products within this rating may contain top quality wood products (visible), mixed with mid-lower quality materials behind the scenes (such as particle board).

Value Quality
These products are mostly made with inexpensive products such as particle board or press board and mechanisms are of average quality. Most RTA (ready to assemble) products fit into this category and can require extensive assembly time and effort. Usually assembled with cam-locks or glue & dowel type products. Finishes may include paper laminate or similar. These are not considered to be life-long products but do fulfill a great value need.

Economy Value
These products can provide excellent solutions for the home or office for a short period, but they are not made to last forever. Usually inexpensive due to the economical materials used for construction. Although they will provide good function they are not built for surviving many moves. |
